Wednesfield 2 Chasetown 2
Next May nobody will remember any of the FA Cup games played nine months previously but don't let anyone tell you these games are insignificant.Let anyone try and tell these 22 players this game didn't matter;it mattered. This was without doubt an absolutely cracking cup-tie.The hosts from WMRL Division 1 against their NPL Division 1 opponents looked a banker away win but it was anything but.The first half was dominated by the hosts who refused to let their opponents settle and were rewarded for their industry with the opening goal midway through the first half and to be honest, looking like they could add to that tally.
Whatever was said at the interval in the visitors' dressing room had a remarkable effect as they now gained the upper hand and scored a couple of goals and looked comfortable.Wednesfield had a player sent off for two yellow cards but this only served to invigorate them and they rescued the game with an equaliser minutes from the end.
The replay should be a belter.
