Bilbrook 3 Tipton Town 2
Played at Pendeford Lane Stadium
Tipton were quick out of the blocks and took the lead in the 9th minute⚽ and from then on Bilbrook were marginally the better side, having a goal denied for off-side but nothing else to show for their endeavours, which were considerable. Approaching the break they were one on one with the Tipton keeper who somehow won the battle, hoofed the ball down the field and number 9 was on the spot to tap home for a second⚽.
Following the break,the hosts continued in the same vein,plenty of running,effort and commitment with no end result ; that is,until the 75th minute when from a goalmouth scramble,they scored⚽ and 5 minutes later they were level. A free kick on the left was nodded in and things looked interesting⚽. It was now all Bilbrook and you just knew they would get a third which duly arrived a couple of minutes from the end, via a penalty⚽.
Tipton didn't do anything wrong,they were just beaten by the better side on the day. Once Bilbrook got up a head of steam,they looked unstoppable.
