Barnet unable to Roast Lambs !

                      Tamworth v Barnet. Skrill Conference.

Tamworth and Barnet managed to cancel out each other in an interesting if uninspiring game. The visitors' Weston and Ganbin proved quite a handful for Tamworth who,to be fair, also had their moments. The intricate stuff was being played by the Bees(with Davids as manager, what would you expect) whilst Tamworth were 'up and at 'em '.

The man himself

The contrast in styles was quite marked. The Bees looked strong at the back with Saville particularly impressive in the first half(substituted due to injury) but often, following neat controlled passing from the back, they lost their way in front of goal.

The home side were more direct and prepared to mix it as and when required and had long periods of posession in the second half but Barnet held firm and Stack was rarely seriously troubled.

Saville receives treatment.

A draw was probably a fair result and I was left with the feeling both of these sides could be thereabouts come the end of the season. Throughout the game the referee was guilty of some completely baffling decisions.
