Wulfs aquitted themselves well on their first foray in the Midland Football Alliance. HSJ nearly went in front straight from the kick-off,the ball narrowly clearing the bar, but it was the home side who struck first after 15 minutes through Lawley. The home keeper then made a good fisted clearance to deny the visitors.Shame he was outside his area when he did it.He was red-carded. Wulfs more than held their own to go in at half time in the lead( and a man down.)

The visitors started the second half with a flourish,scoring within a minute of the kick-off and were then in control for long periods but the home side were not to be denied.Following good work down the right Lawley fired them in front once more.It was no more than they deserved for withstanding a fair amount of pressure and then putting the visitors on the back foot.
