This was a cracking game. Westfields like to pass it and they came to win.For the first fifteen minutes there was only one team in it...the visitors. Gradually,Tiptons' midfield took control and fed Nesbitt and Rabone whose pace was causing problems in the visitors defence.Tipton took the lead with a tap-in by Hadley and increased their lead three minutes later following a mistake by Westfields' keeper. The highlight of the game came with ten minutes of the first half remaining.Hadley received the ball and held off two defenders to hammer a left-foot pile-driver into the roof of the net.A stunning goal. I'd have to say the score-line was more than a little unjust on the visitors.
Half-time : Tipton 3 Westfields 0
Westfields took a stranglehold on the game in the second half and it was no surprise when they pulled two goals back through Polan and Birch and were looking very strong and likely to go on and win the match.Mention has to be given to the back four of the home side who stood firm in the face of the onslaught and also to the visitors left-back who looks a very accomplished player. Fair play to Tipton for gaining the three points from a very good side.
A thoroughly entertaining game.If we see more like this,we wont be doing too bad.
