For the last three seasons me and my mate have followed non-league football(from which this blog was conceived).The main reason for changing our allegiance was that most professional games are crap. The cost of entrance,programme and drinks are ridiculous and the product we are served i.e.football, is usually rubbish.Our sojourns take us around the West Midlands/Black Country(from whence blackcountrygroundhopper). We see Southern League,Northern Premier,Midland Alliance and West Midlands(Regional) League. Rarely are we disappointed.The standard is brilliant. Except ! There is one team we will avoid at all costs.The ball spends more time in the air(mostly higher than the floodlights)than on the deck.The manager is obviously from the John Beck school of hoof-the bloody-thing-as-high/far-as-you-can. Funny really,their type of football is included in their name.
Can anyone guess to which team we refer ?
This blog is about real football.We don't support a team,we support the game. A different venue each week. Definitely not plastic football.
