Gornal suffer heavy defeat

                                Tividale v Gornal Athletic.
                     Baker Joiner Midland Football Alliance

Tividale were very, very impressive against a hard-working Gornal team. The visitors simply couldn't compete with their hosts.Tivi were always stronger and faster than a Gornal side who didn't hide but in the end, were outgunned.Within a few minutes of the start,Tivi were ahead and you feared for the visitors, but credit to Gornal, they kept their cool and gradually worked themselves into the game and although rarely threatening to score, had a fair share of the first half.Just before half time, the visitors' Misambo(definitely one to watch) was outdone on the edge of the area and the hosts increased their lead.

Half-time ; Tividale 2 Gornal Athletic 0

Three goals in the first fifteen minutes put the game to bed and a double-digit score was on the cards.Again,it has to said, the visitors did their best, but they were lacking one vital ingredient - someone to put the ball in the net. Added to this was the fact Tivis' defence looked virtually impenetrable. On 75 minutes Tividale scored a sixth and that was that.

For Tividale, this was 8 wins from 8 in the MFA( though inexplicably the've been knocked out of three cup competions recently ?) As for Gornal, they won't meet many sides of this calibre and should be ok.They will do well to hang onto Misambo.
Ay lads,'ave yer heard this one....
