Tipton Town looking good.

Tipton Town v Stourport Swifts. Midland Football Alliance

Tipton were looking to continue their good form following their FA Cup victory over Kidsgrove and they tore into Swifts from the off; that is after they nearly conceeded after 30 seconds when a cushioned header back to goalkeeper Pemberton fell short and Swifts' Conway was unlucky to not score although credit to Pemberton for being 'on the ball' as it were ! There was plenty of huff and puff and long balls punted upfield from Swifts with very little end product as the home side laid seige to the visitors goal with the pace of Rabone and Kinch key to most attacks.

Late in the half,Swifts decided to make a game of it but Tiptons' defence held firm. Pemberton,in the home goal must have welcomed the action as for most of the half he  had not been seriously troubled by the visitors.

Half-time ; Tipton Town 0 Stourport 0

The second half started much more evenly with the visitors having plenty of it in midfield but still unable to break through a resolute Tipton defence. The home side were unlucky with a couple of free-kicks with Whitcombe still much the busier of the goalkeepers. On the hour mark Rabone pitched a superb cross and Kinch outjumped the defender to get just enough on it to beat Whitcombe in the visitors' goal.Stourport were trying to make a game of it but the two substitutions by the home side ,Penney and Crudgington might have sealed it.

A deserved win for Tipton against a competent Swifts' side possibly lacking a 'cutting-edge'.

APOLOGIES FOR THE POOR QUALITY OF PHOTOS.I HAD THE CAMERA ON THE WRONG SETTING.
